Events for the 2019 Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival can be found on the What’s on page so take a look! Are you following us on twitter, Facebook or instagram?
Shrewsbury Cartoon Festival brings a small army of professional cartoonists from all over the UK and overseas to draw for the public. The event draws a huge audience every year with live drawing of giant cartoons in Shrewsbury Town Square as its centrepiece, alongside live caricaturing by some of the UK’s top professionals. There are also cartoon workshops for aspiring cartoonists and exhibitions of themed cartoons. All this brings people to the town from near and far; last year people came from Leicester, Swindon, Chester, Wigan, Newark and even Taiwan!
The festival presents a unique opportunity for the public see cartoonists at work, meet them in person and learn some tricks of the trade. It’s a brilliant day of cartoon fun!
It´s such a shame I´m now living in Argentina, so I would have to swim through the Atlantic to get to Shrewsbury, the nice city where pubs close at 11pm!! Anyway, I miss you, dears!!

Well even as we mop up the gravy from 2017 & our travelling fast drawn food & ink kiosk we gird our aprons for the year ahead.
2018’s events will mark our 15th year of this wholesome silliness.
Themes are yet to be decided.
Cartoonists are reserving the date:
April 21st 2018

Announcement of the full schedule is imminent! We have a number of workshops (caricature, action cartoons, animation, and paper aeroplanes), a cartoonists panel discussion on Friday the 20th, as well as the regular favourites (big boards, live caricatures, etc) on the Saturday.

Hi dear colleagues,
here I send you some cartoons about animals, as you asked me if I could collaborate with some works. It would be fine if you tell me, you have well received the mail and the cartoons.
Hope you enjoy the festival, it was very nice some years ago!!!
