This talk was part of the 2018 cartoon festival; keep an eye out for the announcement of the 2019 festival talk!
Can cartoonists find humour in anything? What’s a typical day? Do the times we live in affect the cartoons we get? All these and more will be revealed in ‘Cartoonists in Conversation’, our Friday night panel discussion at the Wightman Theatre on the 20th April.
Radio presenter Alex Lester hosts an interactive discussion with four fabulous cartoonists. Jeremy Banx, The Surreal McCoy, Wilbur Dawbarn and Royston Robertson are regulars in Private Eye, The Spectator, The Oldie, The Beano and many more. We are lucky to have Ken Krimstein joining us from the USA, bringing an international perspective.
Readers of the magazines will be familiar with their work but who are the people behind them? Are cartoonists writers, artists, journalists?
Join us on the 20th and find out about the life of a cartoonist.
If there’s something you’ve always wanted to ask, now’s you’re chance! The discussion will be followed by audience questions.
